Balzar Architects (legal name Balzar Proyectos SL) is an author architecture practice founded in Valencia, Spain, in 2018. The studio is led by its founders — Txema García Ballester, Principal Architect, and Laura Moreno Albuixech, CEO — with José María García Zarco as Consulting Director. The team numbers around twenty people working across architecture, interior design and landscape.
What “author practice” means
A single, coherent architectural intelligence carries each project from its first idea to its last construction detail. The studio does not separate design from delivery or hand projects between departments. Form is understood as the consequence of construction — proportion, measure and light are the instruments, and the studio takes on work where that position can hold.
Where the studio works
Based in Valencia, the studio builds across Spain — Valencia, Madrid, the Balearic Islands, Alicante, Murcia, Málaga — and internationally in Kuwait, Saudi Arabia, Egypt, China and Bali. The archive counts more than 30 projects, from apartment renovations in Valencia’s Eixample to a 125,000 m² tower development in Kuwait City.
